Munich - BMW Museum

🇫🇷 Il faut que je vous avoue que la première "belle voiture" que j'ai achetée avec mes premiers salaires d'ingénieur, il y a 40 ans, était une BMW 323i, avec un 6 cylindres de 150 ch...

Alors ce matin, avant de quitter Munich pour les environs de Stuttgart, je suis allé visiter le Musée BMW.

Il est intéressant, car on y trouve des motos, des moteurs, et aussi bien sûr des voitures...

Parmi les voitures, j'ai apprécié de beaux modèles des années 30 et l'ai découvert la BMW 507 qu'Elvis Presley avait achetée quand il était militaire en Allemagne et qu'il avait rapportée aux USA...

En début d'après-midi, je suis arrivé chez mon ami Marcus, qui a quelques Ducati et une superbe Porsche 911 Turbo rouge que j'avais essayée quand on s'était retrouvés il y a 3 ans en Bourgogne.

Il m'a emmené découvrir Motorworld Böblingen, l'endroit où est garée sa Porsche, en bonne compagnie dans une "étagère à belles voitures".

On y trouve aussi sur place les concessionnaires Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Harley-Davidson...

So this morning, before leaving Munich for the Stuttgart area, I visited the BMW Museum.

It's interesting because it houses motorcycles, engines, and of course, cars...

Among the cars, I admired some beautiful models from the 1930s and discovered the BMW 507 that Elvis Presley bought when he was in the military in Germany and brought back to the USA...

In the early afternoon, I arrived at my friend Marcus's house. He has a few Ducatis and a superb red Porsche 911 Turbo that I had test-driven when we met up three years ago in Burgundy.

 He took me to see Motorworld Böblingen, where his Porsche is parked, in good company on a "shelf of beautiful cars."

You can also find Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Harley-Davidson dealerships there...
