Dresden

🇫🇷 Grosse journée à Dresde où je suis arrivé vers midi. J'ai bien marché pour découvrir la partie ancienne de la ville, et j'ai enchaîné 2 musées : un intéressant musée des transports, et le riche musée des beaux-arts.

Je commence par la ville et ses lieux emblématiques.

Le petit musée des transports de Dresde m'a intéressé surtout pour les motos et voitures de marques allemandes aujourd'hui disparues.

On y voit aussi des trains, des avions, des bateaux... et un incroyable réseau de train électrique mis en marche 3 fois par jour.

Le musée des beaux-arts de Dresde est incroyablement riche : la plus grande collection de Cranach au monde, des œuvres de Dürer et d'autres peintres allemands moins connus, et aussi des flamands (Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Bosch, Van Eyck...) et la renaissance italienne (Raphael, Botticelli, Titien, Tintoret...).

Aussi, une amusante expo temporaire sur le thème "Hercule, héros ou anti-héros", avec notamment un tableau montrant Hercule bourré et une statue le montrant en train de pisser.

Je termine par la collection de statues antiques du musée de Dresde.

Avec tout ça, j'ai encore fait plus de 14.000 pas et 9 kilomètres à pieds aujourd'hui, ce qui fait un total dépassant 90.000 pas et 63 km dans la semaine.

Qui dit mieux ? 😊

🇬🇧 A long day in Dresden, where I arrived around noon. I walked a lot to explore the old part of the city, and I visited two museums: an interesting transport museum and the magnificent Dresden Museum of Fine Arts.

I started with the city and its iconic landmarks.

The small Dresden Transport Museum particularly interested me because of its collection of motorcycles and cars from now-defunct German brands.

It also features trains, planes, boats... and an incredible model railway that runs three times a day.

The Dresden Museum of Fine Arts is incredibly rich: the largest collection of Cranach's work in the world, pieces by Dürer and other lesser-known German painters, as well as Flemish masters (Rembrandt, Rubens, Vermeer, Bosch, Van Eyck...) and Italian Renaissance artists (Raphael, Botticelli, Titian, Tintoretto...).

 Also, an amusing temporary exhibition on the theme "Hercules, hero or anti-hero," featuring, among other things, a painting depicting Hercules drunk and a statue of him urinating.

I'll finish with the collection of ancient statues at the Dresden Museum.

With all that, I still managed over 14,000 steps and 9 kilometers on foot today, bringing my total to over 90,000 steps and 63 km this week.

Who can top that? 😊
